Baubo Moon Belly Dance CIC - 2007 - 2014 - had the core ethos of being dedicated to promoting the art and benefits of Belly Dance in safe, appropriate settings for women and girls. Due to the massive interest locally in Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion and throughout Wales in Belly Dance for learning, events and festivals, we set up our group in 2007. Our group and collaborative approach meant we were able to; host a range of teachers including Hossam and Serena Ramzy, organise a womens space with art and dance workshops at The Celtic Blue Rock Festival, raised over £1,000 for Wales Air Ambulance in a marathon 12 hr sponsored belly dance, contributed funds to Just Because Charity and offered workshops in rural settings for women and girls. We ran the Belly Dance Body & Soul Project in conjunction with Wales Womens Aid throughout 2009 & 2010 with workshops and a fundraising show at Small World Theatre, in Cardigan raising over £400 for the local Women's Aid group.

Our group became a Community Interest Company (Social Enterprise) in June 2010.

We ran a successful Engagement Gateway project called 'Belly Dance Works' in 2011 - 2012 allowing many women to become certificated in a Level 1 Agored Cymru certificate which we devised called 'Introduction to Belly Dance.' We recently ran 'The Muse' event at The Cellar Bar in Cardigan, a women's Live Arts fundraising event featuring local poets, dancers, songwriters and musicians.

The Baubo Moon Belly Dance Company has received support by local arts groups; SPAN, Tidy Like Records, The Jam Shop, Live Lightly, Pembroke Dock Midsummer Festival and The Celtic Blue Rock Festival. We promoted the personal, social, creative and health benefits that Belly Dance brings, working across sectors with professionalism and ambition. We were been funded by Pembrokeshire Council, The Arts Council of Wales, The National Lottery, Pembrokeshire Tourism, The European Social Fund and received sponsorship and raffle prizes from Vincent Davies, Tesco, The Taj Mahal restaraunt and many others. Thankyou.
